Transforming the Approach Towards Air Force Technical Training
One of my visions for starting the two-year journey in the Adult Education & Training program was to gain knowledge and skills that would help me with transforming technical training for the United States Air Force. Exposure to Experiental Learning Theory through the works of John Dewey and Dr. David A. Kolb opened my eyes to a possible paradigm shift to the standard cookie-cutter approach to teaching and learning that current (and past) Air Force students go through in a technical training environment. My final project in Colorado State University's EDAE 668 - Cognitive Theory and Learning Transfer provided me with an opportunity to present my vision for the future of technical training and how sound application of learning theory will facilitate learning transfer.
